Much Manure Sent to Rural Areas

Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, are rendering strong support to the socialist countryside from the outset of the new year, true to the idea and spirit of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

They secured more than 20, 000 tons of manure on Wednesday alone and transported it to the vegetable farms in Ryokpho District and many other farms in the city.

Encouraged by such assistance, agricultural workers are putting spurs to the preparations for farming with the will to glorify this significant year with increased grain production.
