Growing Enthusiasm for Aiding Metallurgical Industry in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- Kangwon, South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces and Nampho city sent a lot of scrap iron to iron production bases amid the increasing public enthusiasm for support to the metallurgical industry seething with the implementation of the decisions made at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Kangwon Province sent dozens of trucks loaded with scrap iron to bases of metallurgical industry and Wonsan City secured a large amount of scrap iron through a mass movement.

South Hamgyong Province sent a large amount of scrap iron to metal factories on January 5 alone, and Ryanggang Province organized the transport carefully so that the scrap iron collected could be sent to metal factory in time.

Nampho City sent the scrap iron collected through a movement of collecting idle materials to the Chollima Steel Complex.
