Efforts Concentrated on Securing Compost in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- True to the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, agricultural officials and workers across the country have turned out as one in producing more compost to increase the grain production this year.

Officials of the Agricultural Commission and provincial rural economy committees learn about the production and transport of homemade manure at every unit while solving knotty problems.

Agricultural workers in South Hwanghae Province have produced large amounts of quality compost with enthusiasm to live up to the Party's trust with increased grain production.

Farms in Pyongyang and Nampho cities have striven to fertilize the soil from the outset of the year after setting a high goal for production and transport of homemade manure.

Similar successes are witnessed in cities and counties of South Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces and Kaesong City.
