Present there were Ri Tu Song, department director of the WPK Central Committee, officials concerned, officials and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK), the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and the Socialist Women's Union of Korea and other workers, peasants and women.

At the meeting of workers and trade union members, a reporter and speakers said that the report made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK serves as an immortal banner enabling the Party and the people to further develop the great and inexhaustible strength of single-minded unity and thus steadily achieve practical changes and development of the state prosperity.

They appealed to the workers across the country to strive to attain the important economic development goals, true to the decisions of the plenary meeting.

Then followed a demonstration.

At the meeting of agricultural workers and union members, a reporter and speakers noted that all the agricultural workers and union members are filled with the firm faith and will to make revolution under the leadership of the Party to the last, with high honor and pride of having received the report of Kim Jong Un.

They called for implementing the Party's programme for the rural revolution and unconditionally attaining the grain production goal and thus significantly contributing to further improving the people's living standard and accelerating the prosperity and development of the DPRK this year.

At the end of the meeting, officials of the UAWK and members of the art squad of the UAWK Central Committee conducted agitation activities at the Chongsan Farm in Kangso District.

A reporter and speakers at the meeting of women's union officials and members said that all women across the country have turned out in the general advance for the new year, full of confidence, after receiving the grandiose struggle strategy for leading Korean-style socialism to a fresh leap forward and development.

They expressed their determination to demonstrate the revolutionary stamina of the Korean women in the on-going struggle for prosperity and development of the DPRK.

Then the participants staged a demonstration and conducted intensive agitation activities at Kim Il Sung Square.

Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
