They have striven to contribute to the economic development of the country and the improvement of people's living standard with a high goal, bearing in their mind the benevolent image of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who visited the State Academy of Sciences to show great trust and love.

In January Juche 103 (2014), the General Secretary looked round the Exhibition of Scientific Research Successes and other parts of the State Academy of Sciences.

And he gave important teachings for the sci-tech development of the country. Saying that there is nothing to spare for the scientists and technicians, treasure of the country, he declared that the Party would build a modern scientists street in the Unjong science area where the State Academy of Sciences is located until the founding anniversary of the Party in 2014, just like the Unha Scientists Street built in 2013,.

Soon after his field guidance to the academy, he came to Lake Yonphung to instruct the construction of the best holiday camp for scientists there.

Under his energetic and meticulous guidance, the Wisong Scientists Residential District and the Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp were wonderfully built in October 2014 to provide the scientists with a happy life.

In January 2018, he visited the State Academy of Sciences again to go round the newly-built Exhibition of Scientific Research Successes. Highly appreciating the exhibits and other achievements made by our scientists, he stressed that the exhibition is a treasure house of self-reliance and self-development and the academy is home of self-reliance and self-development.

Officials, scientists and technicians of the State Academy of Sciences are full of enthusiasm to carry through the important tasks set forth at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK, deeply mindful of his great love and trust.
