Officials of the provincial rural economy committee have striven to strengthen the sci-tech guidance on every farming process and increase the grain production in a stable way.

The provincial agricultural science institute directs efforts to selecting grain seeds, suited to regional climatic and soil conditions and conducive to minimizing the damage from drought, frost, typhoon and other disastrous abnormal weather, and establishing and generalizing the scientific methods for their cultivation.

The provincial rural economy committee has striven to take a sci-tech step for raising the effectiveness of fertilizer and correctly implement it and to settle the practical problems for reinforcing and perfecting the irrigation system in the province as soon as possible.

It has also discussed the matters of implementing the childcare policy of the Party by widely cultivating "Aeguk" grass and breeding more grass-eating domestic animals.

Meanwhile, provincial-level institutions, city and counties have pushed ahead with the project for land improvement while giving further momentum to the enthusiasm for support to rural communities from the beginning of the year to intensively transport manure to the farms with poor foundation and low fertility.
