The contest is aimed to encourage the working people vigorously advancing toward a new horizon of state development under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and activate the movement in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with each other among traveling agitation troupes and brass bands of university students.

The agitation troupes and brass bands of students from universities in Pyongyang City, Kangwon, North and South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces and Rason City took part in the east coastal area contest, held at the Ryongsong Machine Complex from January 10 to 13, with numbers of high ideological and artistic value and revolutionary stamina.

In the contest which began with rush-hour motivation activities, students conducted various forms of economic agitation to rev up the atmosphere of the complex.

Agitation troupes and brass bands of students from Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Pyongyang University of Transport, Hamhung University of Hydraulic Engineering and other universities toured the worksites with emotional and appealing works to raise the drumming sound of agitation.
