Active Support to Metal Industry in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- Amid the growing enthusiasm for support to the metal industry, a core industry of the national economy, officials and working people in the capital city of Pyongyang on Friday sent hundreds of tons of scrap iron to the Chollima Steel Complex.

Citizens secured a large amount of scrap iron in a short span of time through mass movement. And various industrial establishments provided a lot of scrap iron by tapping internal reserves and possibilities.

Encouraged by such assistance, the workers of the Chollima Steel Complex are now steadily increasing the production to hit the steel production target set by the Party.
