Officials of the Agricultural Commission and the agricultural guidance organs of all provinces, cities and counties have proposed measures to carry out the tasks set forth before the field of agriculture this year.

They discuss the ways to increase the production of seeds of high-yielding strains with strong resistance to disastrous abnormal weather and stably increase the grain production in conformity with the weather and climate conditions of the country.

They devise ways for concentrating and mobilizing all the manpower and means in major farming seasons and consolidating the material and technical foundations of the countryside.

They take proper measures to solve issues arising in increasing the proportion of mechanization in agricultural production and readjusting and reinforcing irrigation system and facilities.

And practical measures are being taken to increase the areas of grain production by directing efforts to bringing new land under the plow and restoring and rehabilitating farmland and stepping up the land realignment and the building of setups in the reclaimed tideland.

Measures are being adopted to increase the production of meat and eggs by directing efforts to stockbreeding.

Practical ways for increasing the production of fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, industrial crops and cocoons are also being discussed.
