Agricultural officials in the province and its cities and counties worked out a detailed plan for this year's potato farming and have learnt about the farming preparations at each unit to take timely steps to solve the knotty problems, true to the decisions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The agricultural workers in the province have turned out in a campaign for the farming preparations.

Kim Jong Suk and Kapsan counties over-fulfilled their plans for homemade manure by more than 20 percent through a socialist emulation among farms, workteams and sub-workteams.

Agricultural workers in Paekam County carpeted hundreds of hectares of potato fields with humus soil. And Samjiyon City secured more than 100,000 tons of peat and land improvement agent.

Similar successes are witnessed in other counties, too.

The Hyesan Trailing Farm Machine Factory and other farm machine stations in the province are now pushing ahead with the repair and maintenance of farm machines.
