Increasing Young Volunteers in DPRK
Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- More than 15,000 young people have volunteered to work at difficult and labor-consuming sectors after the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

In May Juche 110 (2021) alone, over 1,700 young people across the country petitioned to work at factories, coal and ore mines and forestry stations.

Officials of the youth league organizations at all levels took the lead in volunteering to work at difficult and challenging sectors.

Many youths in the capital city of Pyongyang petitioned for working at coal mines, the stockbreeding base in the Sepho area, the Chongjin Fishery Station, the Hoechang County Forest Management Station, etc.

Young people in North and South Phyongan, North and South Hwanghae, Kangwon and North and South Hamgyong provinces, Kaesong City and other regions advanced into to the theaters of socialist construction.

For the first 15 days of this year, a large number of youths have vowed to work at major theaters of the national economy, including metal, coal, mining and agricultural fields, with the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee as an occasion.
