National Contest of Traveling Agitation Troupes and Brass Bands of Students Ends
Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- The national contest of traveling agitation troupes and brass bands of university students ended on Wednesday. It was held in the east and west coastal areas to boost the fighting spirit of the masses who have turned out in implementing the decision of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Members of the traveling agitation troupes and brass bands of students from South Phyongan, South Hwanghae and other provinces, who took part in the contest in the west coastal area, conducted brisk agitprop activities at the February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine seething with increased production.

Members of the traveling agitation troupes of students of Phyongsong Teachers Training College, Koryo Songgyungwan University and Haeju University of Medicine revved up the atmosphere of the coal mine with such numbers as dialogic poem and chorus.

Brass bands of students of Cha Kwang Su Sinuiju University of Education and Phyongsong University of Technology inspired the coal miners to increase the production while traveling production sites.

Students of Pyongyang University of Agriculture and other universities gave aid materials to coal miners and conducted positive socio-political activities in various forms and methods.
