The Ministry of Coal Industry took detailed practical measures to boost the coal production by giving definite precedence to the prospecting and tunneling and raising the mechanization rate at pit work and accelerate the extension of coal mines' capacities.

Amid the surging spirit of coal miners, the Kaechon Area Coal Mining Complex has produced one thousand and hundreds more tons of coal than the planned up to now in the new year.

Onsong, Myongchon and Chonnae area coal mining complexes have carried out their plans every day by reinforcing the material and technical foundations of coal mines and providing enough manpower, machinery, materials, items for labor protection, etc.

Coal mines across the country are now showing high production results, while directing efforts to developing new coal fields and increasing the transport capacity.
