Officials of the Ministry of Forestry and each provincial forestry management bureau have taken measures to fulfill this year's production plan while consolidating the material and technical foundations and keeping the balance between timber production and afforestation.

The work for laying the production foundations of timber machine factories and normalizing the production of accessories is going on. And practical steps are being taken to build and readjust forest railways and newly install and transfer cableways to increase the capacity for carrying timber.

Meanwhile, the work is propelled to plant trees and raise their survival rate in the areas behind the logging, create the forest of seed selection with high economic effectiveness, promote the growth of saplings and develop insecticides.

Forestry workers across the country have turned out in the struggle to lay a decisive guarantee for the fulfillment of the five-year plan to make innovation in the production of logs in the first month of the new year.
