The Ministry of Mining Industry strives to encourage all the officials and workers to increase production and capacity and put spurs to implementing the plan for maintenance and reinforcement by their own efforts and with the indefatigable perseverance.

The December 5 Youth Mine concentrates its efforts on solving sci-tech problems arising in the operation of a new mineral-processing base and Phungnyon, Yongyu and Jungsan mines are speeding up the updating projects while pushing ahead with the current production.

The Hyesan Youth Mine and the Unpha Mine are promoting the maintenance and reinforcement of the pits, while building a guarantee for carrying out the production quotas of minerals for every ten days and month by stepping up deep development.

Officials and workers of the Manpho Smelting Work and the Munphyong Smelting Work worked out a bold operation to fulfill their yearly goals ahead of schedule and press ahead with the current production while providing the necessary equipment and materials in time.

Various mines and geological survey teams, too, have taken precedence to drilling penetration, main tunneling, preparative tunneling and earth-scraping to secure plenty of ore reserves.
