Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) -- All the people across the DPRK observed the Lunar New Year's Day, Juche 112 (2023), being optimistic about a better future of Korean-style socialism. The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, had an endless stream of visitors with best wishes for the immortality of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Lunar New Year's Day. The visitors looked back upon the sacred revolutionary careers and exploits of the great leaders at the sacred place of the sun. The citizens and service personnel visited the statues of the great leaders and mosaics picturing their smiling images on Mansu Hill and in all other parts of the country to lay floral baskets and flowers and offer their New Year greeting to the great sages of revolution. Colorful art performances were given across the country to rev up the festive mood. Public service amenities throughout the country were enlivened with holiday service on the same day. Public catering establishments across the country were crowded with working people who enjoyed traditional national food. People's laughter could be also heard from the Central Zoo, Munsu Water Park, People's Open-air Ice Rink and other resorts. The pleasant smell of the roast chestnut and sweet potato served at the outdoor stalls in different parts of the capital city added to the joyful atmosphere. |
