Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- It has been 50 years since provincial art squads were organized in the DPRK on Jan. 26, Juche 62 (1973) on the initiative of Chairman Kim Jong Il. The Chairman applied into the struggle for building socialism the precious tradition of mass political activities, created in the forest of Mt Paektu, to make a new history of the Party's information and motivation work. In his works, he advanced the unique ideas and theories on the agitation for increased production and comprehensively indicated the mission, duty and action principles of the provincial art squad. Cherishing the Party's idea that the agitation for increased production is the key to the provincial art squad's activity, members of the squads have conducted brisk revolutionary agitprop activities at the grand socialist construction sites over the past years. The provincial art squads have vigorously conducted agitprop activities for thoroughly establishing a noble and sound socialist lifestyle throughout the society and developing our ideology, culture and morality to contribute to helping the working people become genuine creators and enjoyers of socialist civilization. In those days, all the provincial art squads developed into a competent art group prepared politically and ideologically and artistically and produced such winners of official commendation as Labor Hero and Merited Artist and a large number of famous artistes. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw to it that grand meetings of weighty significance in the development of the Party ideological work were held in succession, and indicated the important guidelines to be maintained permanently in the ideological work, the agitation for increased production. True to the plan and intention of the Party Central Committee, the members of provincial art squads went to the major theaters of socialist economic construction to propel the advance of the new century of Juche through their intensive, steady and accurate frontline-style agitation for increased production. |
