Fishing Boats and Implements Overhauled

Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Ministry of Fisheries and fishery units in the west coastal area of the DPRK are pushing ahead with the planned work to repair and maintain fishing boats this winter, keeping in mind the Party's policy on accelerating the modernization and repair and maintenance of fishing boats and tackles.

The Mundok Fishery Station has carried on the immediate repair of fishing boats and tackles in a responsible way, taking measures to supply necessary materials.

The Unjon Fishery Station is hastening the repair of hulls and engines at the final stage while tapping internal reserves.

The Hanchon Fishery Station, the Kyolsong Small-scale Fishery Station and the Pupho Offshore Farm, too, are putting spurs to the repair and maintenance of fishing boats and tackles and the preparations for fishing by boosting the enthusiasm for socialist emulation and making effective use of their potentialities.
