Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- A seminar was held on Feb. 2 to mark the 1st anniversary of the historic letter "Let the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea Become Vanguard in the Struggle for Achieving Our Style of Socialist Rural Development" sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to those attending the Ninth Congress of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK). Attending the seminar were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials of the C.C., UAWK and union organizations in Pyongyang City. The seminar heard papers on the validity and vitality of the idea and theory clarified in Kim Jong Un’s letter. Speakers explained that the letter is an important document indicating the way to be followed by the UAWK in accomplishing the historic cause of rural revolution and development in the new era. They also explained and proved that to train all the agricultural workers into the masters of the rural revolution is the most important task for socialist rural construction and the key factor for its victory. They said that it is the primary requisite to strengthen the UAWK into a political organization intensely loyal to the idea and cause of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un by more thoroughly establishing the Party's unified leadership system across the union. They stressed that it is an important task facing the UAWK to rouse all the agricultural workers and the union members to the struggle for increased grain production. Speakers called upon all the UAWK officials to steadily improve their qualifications and abilities to become standard-bearers and vanguard fighters guiding the development of their units and to do away with the outdated working methods and styles. |
