Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- All the people in the DPRK observed the first full moon day (January 15th of the lunar calendar), a folk holiday, on Sunday. Through visit to the Rangnang Museum, citizens in the capital city of Pyongyang keenly realized that the time-honored history and brilliant culture of the nation are more brilliantly glorified under the care of the peerlessly great man, and spent a pleasant time with colorful folk games. Performances consistent with the Juche character and national identity were given by artistes of the Phibada Opera Troupe at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre and those of the National Acrobatic Troupe at the Pyongyang Circus Theater. The Munsu Water Park, the People's Open-air Ice Rink and other leisure complexes were crowded with working people full of joy and optimism. Every home was filled with happy laughter of people who enjoyed themselves playing chess and yut-game after having various national dishes including boiled rice admixed with four other staple cereals and nine kinds of dried herbs prepared by housewives. At night, scenes of enjoying the full moon were seen in different parts of the capital city and local areas. The people across the country enjoyed the holiday, wishing good health to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and hoping for prosperity of the country and happiness of each family. |
