The KPA has covered a proud path of victory and glory under the outstanding and tested guidance of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ever since its founding.

The KPA, which carried forward the tradition of the anti-Japanese war, resolutely repulsed the invasion by the U.S. imperialists, who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, in the 1950s and won a great victory in the three-year Fatherland Liberation War.

In the 1960s, the KPA mercilessly sank, captured and shot down the enemy's Escort Craft 56, the U.S. imperialists' armed spy ship Pueblo and the large-sized spy plane EC-121 which had intruded into the inviolable territorial waters and airspace of the DPRK, thus showing its might and spirit before the world.

The acute military confrontations provoked by the enemy, including the Panmunjom incident in the 1970s and the incident of a downed U.S. army spy helicopter in the 1990s, all ended in the DPRK's victory.

The KPA has grown as a powerful army capable of coping with any modern warfare, possessed of all-powerful Juche-based tactics and ever-victorious experience in the new century of Juche.

The actual war drills including the firing drills by the long-range artillery sub-units on the front and the flying corps of the air force and the military drills by the units for the operation of tactical nukes, the test-fire of a new-type submarine-launched ballistic missile, the test-fire of a ultra-fast hypersonic missile and the test-fire of a new-type ICBM Hwasongpho-17 struck terror into the hostile forces resorting to reckless moves to provoke a war of aggression.

Peace and security on the Korean peninsula are firmly defended by the heroic Korean People's Army demonstrating its invincible strength.
