The formation of the group was aimed to strengthen the study of the revolutionary history of Kim Il Sung among the students so that they could firmly prepare themselves to be faithful sons and daughters to him.

Kim Jong Il set the slogan "Let Us Arm Ourselves Firmly with the Revolutionary Idea of Marshal Kim Il Sung!" as the basic slogan of the group and ensured that the group studied the revolutionary history in depth with various forms and methods including book session, poem reciting and composition presentations.

Later, the group was organized in many schools across the country.

Since then, the work of learning the revolutionary history of the leader has been steadily developed in the country, and the tradition of loyalty peculiar to the Korean revolution has been steadily carried forward through the generations.
