Many Young People Volunteer to Work at Construction Site of New Street of Pyongyang
Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- Many young people across the country have volunteered to take part in building a new street in Pyongyang City after receiving the emotional news that the task to build a street of new 3,700 flats in Pyongyang was set forth at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the worthwhile and honorable construction task was entrusted to the youth.

According to data available, the number of young volunteers across the country is more than 100,000.

The Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League issued an appeal to the youth league organizations and young people across the country in order to live up with loyalty to the trust and expectation of the Party Central Committee which called upon the young people to turn out in worthwhile construction of the capital city and hasten the day of making a report of completion to it.

Responding to the appeal, meetings of petition and pledge were held by the youth league organizations across the country in a significant way.

The enthusiasm of petition grew stronger among youth league officials and members.

38,400 youth league officials and members in Pyongyang City volunteered to join the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade, saying that the young people in the city should take the lead in building the new street entrusted by the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Many young people in North and South Phyongan, North and South Hwanghae, North and South Hamgyong and Jagang provinces and Nampho and Kaesong cities have volunteered to work at the construction site, and hardened their determination to repay the great trust of the Party with their youthful hearts.
