The letter said that thanks to the wise leadership of the great President Kim Il Sung, the Korean People's Army (KPA) could defeat the U.S. and its followers in the Korean War (1950-1953), although it was young at the time and that under the guidance of the great leader Kim Jong Il it could reliably defend the country and the gains of the revolution in the severest period of trials.

It noted that under the distinguished leadership of His Excellency Kim Jong Un, the KPA has developed into the invincible revolutionary armed forces with advantageous politics, ideology and military technology, sound morality and the strongest military muscle in the world which can resolutely frustrate the frantic military provocations of the U.S. and other hostile forces.

It stressed that the invincible stamina of the KPA demonstrating its dignity as an invincible army gives great strength and courage to not only the Korean people but also the world progressives aspiring after independence, equality and justice.

The letter said that the KPA will resolutely guarantee the sovereignty and advance of the DPRK and bring about a definite new turn in the gigantic struggle for the overall development of socialism, to say nothing of defending the country, under the leadership of HE Kim Jong Un.
