Greetings to Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un from Syrian President

| Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on Feb. 9. The message said: I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on the 81st birth anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Il, the outstanding and great leader of your country, and wish the DPRK steady development and prosperity. We highly appreciate your stand supporting the Syrian people in their struggle for territorial integrity of the country and national defence. Taking ourselves of this opportunity, we affirm the consistent stand of the Syrian Arab Republic to strengthen the historic relations with the DPRK and develop the bilateral cooperation in various fields in conformity with the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries. I wish you good health and happiness. |
