The Korean people and service personnel who are advancing full of confidence along the road of independence, self-support and self-reliance in national defence under the leadership of the great Party Central Committee pay the highest tribute to the sacred place of the sun, deeply cherishing the noble revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il shining as the solid cornerstone for the victory of the socialist cause of Juche.

Kim Tok Hun, Choe Ryong Hae and Ri Pyong Chol, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other senior Party and government officials, officials of the Party Central Committee, ministries, national institutions and armed forces organs visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.

The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun was wrapped in a sublime atmosphere where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the eternal leaders of our Party, state and people and the sacred images of socialist Korea, lie in state.

A floral basket in the name of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Also laid before the statues were floral baskets in the names of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The participants paid high tribute to the statues of the President and the Chairman.

At the immortality hall where Kim Jong Il lies in state, the participants made a deep bow of best wishes for immortality to him who devoted all his life to the sacred cause for the country and people along with the red flag of Mt Paektu and thus gave the immortal vitality to the glorious history of development of the DPRK building a wealthy country with a powerful army.

All the participants made a firm pledge to uphold the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un with absolute loyalty and perfect practice to achieve substantial change and progress in the struggle for the promotion of the people's well-being and comprehensive prosperity of the state and thus fulfill their mission entrusted by the Party, revolution and people.
