The Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung was being recognized as a universal trend of thought reflecting the aspiration and requirement of progressive mankind in the early 1970s on a worldwide scale.

After keenly realizing this, the Chairman raised it as a historic task to formulate the revolutionary idea of the President as Kimilsungism and energetically continued thinking and exploring.

The Chairman comprehensively analyzed and reviewed the 100-year history of the development of the preceding revolutionary theories in order to confirm the absolute truth of the President's revolutionary idea.

In February Juche 63 (1974), he formulated the revolutionary idea of the President as Kimilsungism at the Third Conference of Ideological Workers of the Workers' Party of Korea, and proclaimed it as the supreme programme of the Party to model the whole society on Kimilsungism.

The formulation of the Juche idea, the revolutionary idea of the President, as Kimilsungism was the greatest of the immortal exploits he performed for the Korean people and mankind and a special event of epochal significance in the revolutionary struggle of the popular masses for independence.

Later, he also published famous works such as "On the Juche Idea" and "On Some Problems of Education in the Juche Idea" one after another out of his unique ideological and theoretical wisdom and distinguished writing ability, thus enriching the treasure house of the Juche idea.

As he gave perfect answers to the theoretical and practical issues facing the times, history and revolution through his ceaseless ideological and theoretical activities, the Korean revolution could advance victoriously along the road of Juche.

His ideological and theoretical exploits are shining more brilliantly century after century thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

In the new century of Juche, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un formulated the revolutionary ideas of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and proclaimed it as the supreme programme of the WPK to model the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, thus clarifying the eternal strategy of the Korean revolution.
