Present there were personages of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, the Communist Party of Bangladesh (Marxist-Leninist), the Awami League of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea, the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee and other political parties and organizations.

Speeches were made by the chairperson of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, the chairperson of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party and other personages.

Speakers said that they are recollecting with deep emotion the immortal exploits performed by the great H.E. Kim Jong Il for the accomplishment of the global cause of socialism on the occasion of his 81st birth anniversary.

They praised him as an outstanding statesman who turned the Workers' Party of Korea into an ever-victorious and iron-willed party and a powerful general staff of the Korean revolution and a great leader who reliably defended the socialist cause of Juche under the uplifted banner of Songun.

They stressed that under his leadership the WPK developed into a political party of the people enjoying their absolute support and trust by giving top priority to the interests of the popular masses and leading the Korean revolution only to victory and glory.
