The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex has pushed ahead with the construction of energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace and installation of large oxygen separator.

The Chongjin Metal Construction Complex, which is playing a big role in the construction of energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace, has propelled the project for 10-odd objects including circulating water pump station, ventilator station and gas-boosting station at the final stage and, at the same time, the assembling of equipment as scheduled.

The Equipment Assembly Complex steps up the installation of a large oxygen separator by introducing advanced construction methods and building methods.

The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex is solving the sci-tech problems arising in the construction of energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace and in the operation of large oxygen separator.

Similar successes were witnessed at the Chollima Steel Complex and other units.
