This year alone, officials, working people, youth and students from many units, including the Hamhung City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, the South Hamgyong Provincial Youth League Committee, the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex, visited the battle site to cherish the boundless loyalty to the leader and the indomitable fighting spirit of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.

The battle site is associated with activities conducted by small units of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in the Hungnam area true to President Kim Il Sung's line of all-people resistance.

Being briefed on the historical relics and trees bearing slogans, the visitors looked round the secret base in the pine village.

At a gathering to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, they vowed to work and live like the anti-Japanese guerrillas.
