In his work, he expressed the firm will of the Workers' Party of Korea to transform all the mountains in the country into "gold mountains" and "treasure mountains", remaining true to the noble intention of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The work expounds the tasks and ways for the restoration of forests in the country, including the issues of simultaneously pushing ahead with the creation and protection of forests, of developing the forest science and technology, and of intensifying the supervision and control of the work to create and protect forests.

True to the noble intention of Kim Jong Un, who said the forest issue brooks no further delay and declared a forest restoration campaign as the campaign to conserve nature, all people and service personnel take an active part in the campaign to plant trees every year with the great patriotic enthusiasm.

Through the nationwide campaign to increase the forest resource of the country, trees have been newly planted on large areas and modern tree nurseries with great capacities have been built in different parts of the country.

New machines needed for creating forests were developed and the system of surveying and analyzing the forest resource was established. A nationwide forest fire information service system has been established and other solid foundations for pushing ahead with the work to create more forests and protect and take care of forests have been laid.

Last year alone, hundreds of millions of trees were planted nationwide and more than a billion saplings of good species needed for this year's forest creation were produced.

This year, too, the people and service personnel are dedicating themselves to the work for planting, protecting and taking care of trees with a patriotic mind to cover the mountains of the country with green woods.
