The province set a goal for producing millions of zelkova tree saplings in the near future and held several consultative meetings to discuss the matters for building up the sapling production foundation and propelling the tree-planting in a far-sighted way.

Officials of the province have taken steps to spread many zelkova trees, urging the provincial, city and county tree nurseries to secure zelkova tree seeds and increase the cultivation area.

The province is also pushing ahead with the work to solve technical problems arising in increasing the sapling production, while introducing the experience of exemplary units to encourage the regional officials and working people to plant and cultivate more zelkova trees.
