Officials and working people in the city are striving to create remarkable and beautiful landscaping in various areas including the surroundings of the People's Theatre.

The Ministry of Urban Management, the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Taesongsan Management Guidance Bureau and provinces are sending good species of trees and the Pyongyang Floriculture Institute is conducting the work to provide various species of flowers to decorate streets of the capital city on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Central District has worked out stepwise plans to create landscaping according to the design and pushed ahead with the projects for laying pedestrian blocks and round flower beds.

Taesong District is planting various kinds of trees in a responsible way while strictly observing the requirements of technical regulations. And Taedonggang District is directing primary efforts to ensuring quality in creating landscaping.
