Congratulatory messages from the Kim Il Sung University Committee and other university committees of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League in the homeland were read out and a congratulatory video shown at the conference.

The conference discussed four agenda items including "Report on the work of the UKSJ Central Committee".

The reporter noted that during the review, the union has waged a dynamic struggle to make the first breakthrough in implementing the historic letter sent to the participants in the 25th Congress of Chongryon by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He called for subordinating and orienting the work of the union thoroughly to the implementation of Kim Jong Un's important letter, and stressed the need for the union to intensify the work of sincerely helping the compatriot students in study and life, giving full play to the national character among them, carrying out the three patriotic tasks and expanding its ranks.

Then followed speeches.

The conference adopted the report as its resolution.

It heard reports on the second and third agenda items and the results of their examination were adopted with unanimous approval.

At the conference, Song Sang Gi was reelected as chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the union and Kim Sang Hyon as vice-chairman.
