Preparation for Farming Brisk in DPRK

| Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- Farms in Sukchon County, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK, concentrate all their efforts on the preparations for finishing the sowing of rice seeds in beds in the short span of time and in a qualitative way, true to the resolution of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Officials of the county agricultural management committee are take measures to settle the sci-tech problems arising in sprouting rice seeds and making rice seedbeds and intensify the guidance to each farming process in conformity with the weather conditions in spring and the characteristics of each kind of rice seedling. A step has been taken to prevent cold damage through low temperature treatment of rice seeds. Yakjon, Chaeryong and Taerung farms are making good preparations for sowing rice seeds in beds by putting seed processing on a sci-tech basis. Similar efforts are being in other farms. |
