The institute is associated with the immortal leadership exploits of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who put his heart and soul into making the institute play a leading role in building many monumental edifices in the era of the Workers' Party which embody the Party's idea on Juche-based architecture.

One day in March Juche 106 (2017), he gave field guidance to the institute which turned into a model and standard in the designing field of the country.

He stressed the need for its officials, designers, architects and researchers to live and work as patriotic artists and creators capable of reflecting socialist civilization in the era of the Workers' Party and the ideal and dream of the people with their blueprints.

Then he said that the institute is a competent and reliable designing group and a model and standard architectural designing unit of the country.

Out of the mind to live up to his trust and expectations, the institute has created and designed many architectural masterpieces of national value at the highest level by embodying the Party's idea on architectural aesthetics over the past years.

Its officials, designers, architects and researchers are now striving to create structures embodying the Juche character, national character, originality and modernity along with the era of the Workers' Party.
