National Meeting of Exchanging Experiences in Forestry Sector of DPRK

Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- A national meeting of exchanging experiences in the forestry sector took place through videoconferencing on March 9 and 10 under the sponsorship of the Korean Forestry Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The meeting was aimed to share, transfer and widely disseminate the sci-tech achievements and experience, gained in the past spring tree planting and tending, true to the resolution of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Officials, scientists, technicians and others from more than 30 units attended the meeting to hear the scientific and technological successes and experience gained in the field of forestry.

The participants listened to the research successes and experience gained in the efforts to raise the scientific level of creating and taking care of forests and exchanged opinions.

During the meeting, there was a lecture on "Method of Creating a Mixed Forest".
