On March 11, Juche 22 (1933), the President convened on Mt Wangjae a meeting of chiefs of underground revolutionary organizations and political workers in the Onsong area, at which he made a speech "To Spread and Develop the Armed Struggle into the Homeland".

The Wangjaesan Meeting served as a prelude to spreading and developing the anti-Japanese armed struggle deep into the homeland and set up a new milestone in the development of the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle in Korea.

Present at the commemorative meeting were officials of Party and power organs and working people's organizations and working people in the province.

Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the provincial Party committee, in a commemorative report, stressed that the Wangjaesan Meeting marked an epochal turning point in showing the Korean nation the way for national liberation and bringing the overall Korean revolution centered on the anti-Japanese armed struggle to a new period of surge.

The reporter noted that Chairman Kim Jong Il worked out a plan to successfully build the Wangjaesan area, associated with the revolutionary exploits of the President, into a center for education in the revolutionary traditions and gave field guidance to the Wangjaesan revolutionary site under construction several times, indicating the orientation and ways for its construction.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ushered in a new heyday of education in the revolutionary traditions by conducting a horseback march to Mt Paektu and has led the younger generation to be staunch revolutionaries cherishing the sacred revolutionary history and precious exploits of the President and the noble spirit of anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners, the reporter said.

The reporter called on the officials, Party members and other working people to follow the spirit of devotedly defending the leader displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and continue to create the spirit of guerrillas in the new century in the struggle for the overall development of socialist construction, rallied close around Kim Jong Un.
