Anti-epidemic Work Intensified

Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Ryanggang Province of the DPRK directs efforts to the information and motivation activities to raise the public anti-epidemic awareness while urging all its units to intensify the anti-epidemic work in close combination with the work for keeping the production and life environments neat and tidy in the spring cleaning campaign period.

Hyesan City has taken steps to overhaul and disinfect the water supply facilities and dumping grounds, intensifying the work to face-lift streets, villages and worksites.

The city disease prevention center is paying attention to the examination of water quality and the improvement of rivers and streams to prevent diseases that may occur in spring season.

Samjiyon City is conducting information activities of various forms and methods among inhabitants and visitors with data on health education and epidemic prevention.

Such work was launched in counties of the province, too.
