Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in the field of agriculture are now pushing ahead with the sowing of rice seeds in beds in hearty response to the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Officials of the Agricultural Commission and each provincial rural economy committee have worked out scientific operations for farming and are directing farming work on a timely basis.

They are also taking technical and practical measures to minimize damage caused by disastrous weather and properly combine early, middle and late species of rice so as to ensure more secure farming while making sure that all units push ahead with the seedbed sowing as planned.

Organizing a provincial demonstration and being fully prepared for farming, South Hwanghae Province is concentrating all efforts on sowing rice.

Agricultural workers in North Phyongan Province are in high spirit from the beginning with a resolve to finish the sowing of rice seeds, the first process of this year's farming, in the right time, while ensuring quality.

Cities and counties of South Phyongan Province are carrying out farm work in a responsible manner and complete their daily sowing plans by organizing work according to their processes.

Agricultural workers in Pyongyang and Kaesong cities and other parts of the country carry out levelling of seedbeds in a responsible manner and make effective use of each farm tool to ensure the per-phyong sowing rate according to the specific features of the region.
