In the spring, more than 80 000 trees of good species have been planted in streets, parks, pleasure grounds, etc. in districts and counties of the city.

The city people's committee planned to plant such many trees of good species as zelkova tree and launched a vigorous tree-planting campaign.

In a short span of time, the Central District and the Taedonggang District planted lots of trees around the People's Theatre and in other areas.
