The book contains 76 works including historic speeches, talks and conclusions made by the President in the period from January to June, Juche 43 (1954).

In those works he clarified the tasks and ways for firmly laying the economic foundations of the country, improving the people's material and cultural standards and successfully carrying out the three-year plan for the postwar rehabilitation and development of the national economy.

There are also works dealing with theoretical and practical issues arising in learning in detail about the life of the students of the schools and taking measures for improvement as soon as possible and in studying and perfecting the educational system and method for training all students to be competent talents possessed of the Party's policy, high class consciousness and profound scientific knowledge.

The book also contains works giving perfect answers to the issues arising in the revolution and construction including the works on thoroughly observing the principle of the Party spirit, the class spirit and the popular spirit in newspapers editing, improving the work of the railway and motor transport and forestry fields, developing livestock farming in mountainous areas and solving the issue of non-staple food for the people by rapidly developing the fishing industry.
