Present there were Jo Kyong Jun, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, creators and artistes in the field of cinematic art and teachers of Pyongyang University of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts.

Kim In Bom, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Art and Literature of Korea, made a report at the meeting.

The reporter said that the publication of the work on April 11, Juche 62 (1973) by Kim Jong Il, an outstanding genius of art and literature, was a historic event to be specially recorded in the history of the Juche-oriented theory on art and literature and the history of the film, adding that its scientific accuracy and vitality were clearly proved with the brilliant development of the Korean cinematic art.

He referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il's famous work displayed great vitality in the building of Juche-oriented cinematic art and the development of the working-class idea on art and literature.

The Juche-oriented idea and theory clarified by Kim Jong Il in his famous work are being further developed and enriched thanks to the outstanding wisdom and energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the reporter noted.

He called upon all officials, creators and artistes to turn out in the struggle to lay a new springboard in the field of cinematic art without fail and fulfill their duty and obligation as revolutionary soldiers faithfully supporting the great idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un.
