Officials of the Ministry of Light Industry take technical measures with institutions concerned to increase cultivation area and the amount of oil extract from forest resources.

The Pyongyang Essential Oil Factory is pushing ahead with the research to develop various kinds of essential oil needed for the production of soap and drinks while sharing or transferring advanced successes, experience and technology in extracting natural essential oil in close cooperation with scientific research institutes.

The similar successes are witnessed at the Hamhung Essential Oil Factory, the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory and the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory.
