State Commendations Conferred on Persons of Merit

| Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- State commendations were awarded to officials and working people who have made distinguished merits in implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's policies on the occasion of the 111th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. A ceremony of awarding state commendations took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Wednesday. Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, and persons of merit. Choe Ryong Hae read out a decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK. The Order of Kim Il Sung was conferred on Ri Sang Ho, Ri Hyong Nam and U Kil Man. Kim Tong Hun, Kang Song Ran, Kim Song Won and Ri Yong Jun were awarded the title of DPRK Labor Hero, together with the Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and the Order of National Flag First Class. The Kim Il Sung Prize was awarded to Ryu Il Nam. |
