Day of Sun Celebrated in Russia
|Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Moscow on April 7 to celebrate the 111th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Present there were personages of the government, political parties, organizations and institutions of Russia, including the State Duma, the Foreign Ministry, the General People's Union Party, the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Moscow.
The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Speeches were made there.
Victor Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, said that the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was a peerless national hero who saved Korea from the Japanese imperialists' colonial oppression and led the fierce war against the U.S. imperialists to victory and a great sage of mankind who made great contributions to the international communist movement and the cause of global independence.
Parfyonov, deputy to the State Duma, said the whole life of Comrade Kim Il Sung was a great life that clearly showed how important the position and role of the leader in the revolution and construction are.
Bavrin, chairman of the General People's Union Party, said that the development history of socialist Korea and its brilliant reality make the whole world keenly realize the validity and truth of the Juche idea founded by Comrade Kim Il Sung.
Alexandr Vorontsov, section chief of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, highly praised the President as the greatest man who led the Korean revolution to victory and glory under the uplifted banner of Juche and devoted his whole life to the well-being of the people.
