The title of candidate academician was conferred on Kim Won Jae, a researcher of Kim Chaek University of Technology.

Professorship was awarded to Jon Pok Nam, dean of a faculty of Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce, Ri Ye Rim, dean of a faculty of Pyongyang University of Computer Science, and others.

The doctorate was conferred on 22 persons including Ri Chol Nam, dean of a faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Ko Yong Gyong, a teacher of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education.

Associate professorship went to 50 persons and master's degree to 596 persons.

Those intellectuals have made achievements conducive to the economic development of the country and the improvement of the people's living standard and contributed to the education of the rising generation.
