Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Receives Congratulatory Message from Syrian President

Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a congratulatory message from Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 10.

In the message, the Syrian president expressed pleasure in extending the most heartfelt congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 111th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, wishing the friendly DPRK prosperity and development as desired by the great President HE Kim Il Sung.

The message said that the cause of building a powerful nation of the great President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il will be realized without fail thanks to the leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un and by the trust of the Korean people in their cause and their united strength.

Stressing that they will continue to develop the bilateral cooperation in all fields to further strengthen the might and unyieldingness of the two countries on the basis of the common principle of struggle against domination and subjugation, the Syrian president wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness.
