President Kim Il Sung took a revolutionary measure to separately set up a city planning and designing organ and a designing organ for geological surveying in Pyongyang on April 13, Juche 52 (1963).

The institutes, founded and developed under the loving care and trust of the President, had successfully fulfilled their revolutionary missions as competent design groups under the wise guidance and meticulous care of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Their history of 60 years is shining further thanks to the outstanding and tested leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is unfolding a bright blueprint for building socialist civilization true to the far-reaching construction plan and desire of the President and the Chairman.

The institutes have successfully designed many projects for the construction of capital city, including monumental edifices, modern streets, buildings and structures in the era of the Workers' Party and carried out their survey and geological research tasks for the construction projects in a responsible manner, thus contributing to the struggle for ushering in a period of great prosperity in construction.

Meetings took place on the spots respectively on Wednesday to mark the 60th founding anniversaries of the institutes.
