His assumption in April Juche 101 (2012) was a historic event of weighty significance in accomplishing the cause of the Juche revolution, the cause of socialism.

The past days of his guidance over our Party and state shines as an immortal history in which the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) has been strengthened into the dignified Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party to guide the cause of Juche revolution along the road of victory only, and as annals of glory in which a new turn was effected in all the sectors of socialist construction and the strategic position and power of the DPRK reached the highest stage.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un clarified a far-sighted strategy for the Juche revolution at the beginning of the new century of Juche and set it as the supreme programme of the WPK and the DPRK government and as the general direction and goal for the building of a socialist country to model the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. Through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities, he advanced undying guidelines and struggle policies for the strengthening of the Party and the state, including the Party-building line in the new era, the idea on the three main thrusts for the strengthening of the whole Party, the idea on comprehensive development of socialism and the programme for rural revolution in the new era.

He reliably defended the security of the state and the people and provided the strongest military capability guaranteeing the prosperity of all generations to come.

He implanted the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and perseverance in the people and saw to it that all sectors and units fully displayed the spirit of creation, innovation and advance. In this way, he successfully defended the lifeline of the self-supporting economy and remarkably increased the country's strength, its internal driving force.

New factories and streets of Korean style appeared and many monumental edifices symbolic of the era of the Workers' Party were built in different parts of the country under his wise leadership.

Thanks to his assumption of the top posts of the Party and state, the WPK could demonstrate its dignity as the glorious Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party and Korean-style socialism could advance full of vigor and vitality, and the new era of self-development and prosperity, the our-state-first era, was ushered in on this land.
